Alabama has rolled into the NCAA Tournament.

The Alabama Crimson Tide received an at-large bid in the 2022 NCAA Tournament. This marks the second consecutive appearance for the tide and the ninth of the 21st century. Dating back a bit, this is the 22nd all-time appearance for Alabama, who’s still seeking its first Final Four in program history. They’ve only made it through to one ELite EIght and just two Sweet 16s, including the one from a year ago.

Alabama came into the season with plenty of hype. In the nonconference, they showed themselves to be pretty worthy, having scored major wins over both Gonzaga and Houston. They also defeated future SEC Tournament Champion Tennessee and then Baylor of the Big 12, giving them four current Top 10 wins on KenPom, three of them being Top 5. And yet, they went 19-12 and 9-9 and lost to Vanderbilt in the first round of the SEC Tournament.

‘Bama, a 6-seed, will play either 11-seeded Notre Dame or Rutgers on Friday. They are still hashing that out with the First Four! TV/streaming info to soon follow.
