Tennessee is ready to roll in March!
The Tennessee Volunteers are in this year’s NCAA Tournament. Their standing wasn’t ever in doubt, but after clinching the SEC Tournament title on Sunday, the Vols’ secured their auto-bid. Now they are in the Dance for the 24th time. They’re also in their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament, a streak that dates back to 2018 and, of course, goes through the inactive year of 2020.
Tennessee finished the season with a 26-7 record. They have won their last seven games going into the NCAA Tournament dating back to February 22. Pulling the curtain back further, the Volunteers have gone 15-2 since winning against Vanderbilt on January 18.
With the tournament approaching now, Tennessee will begin its quest to get to the Final Four for the first time in program history. The journey begins against Longwood on Thursday. We will, for now, ignore the craziness of Tennessee being a 3-seed versus being on the 2 line.
