NCAA Bracket 2019: LSU a 3 seed, playing in East Region vs. Yale

LSU is back in the field, and they’ll have a tough road ahead of them.

NCAA Basketball: SEC Conference Tournament-Louisiana State vs Florida Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

For the first time since 2015, the LSU Tigers are dancing.

The Tigers, led by the likes of Tremont Waters and Naz Reid, won the SEC regular season championship this season. And despite a shroud of controversy and an early exit in the SEC Tournament, the Fighting Tigers still managed to land a lofty 3 seed in the East Region.

LSU’s first opponent will be the 14-seeded Yale Bulldogs. Led by Miye Oni and Alex Copeland, the Bulldogs won the Ivy League Tournament over the Harvard Crimson on Sunday. So LSU will certainly be playing a very battle-tested team.

LSU is in a region featuring the Duke Blue Devils, the No. 1 overall seed, as well as the Michigan State Spartans and the No. 4 seeded Virginia Tech Hokies. They are going to have their work cut out for them, but this team is plenty talented and can certainly get the job done if called upon.

We’ll have more on the way here as Selection Sunday rolls on!
