Kentucky Wildcats guard Quade Green is set to transfer from the program. The Wildcats announced the news of Green’s transfer on Wednesday afternoon in a release.
We will miss his play, his competitiveness and that smile of his, but @Q_Green1 has decided to explore his options elsewhere and will transfer from Kentucky. We wish you nothing but the best, Q. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.— Kentucky Basketball (@KentuckyMBB) December 12, 2018

The release notes that Green, a sophomore, will be able to transfer to any program in the nation without any sort of restrictions.
Green was only logging 17.8 minutes per game this season, a downgrade by about eight minutes compared to last season. Playing time could very well be the reason for Green’s transfer, which is obviously understandable no matter the actual reasoning. In his career at UK, he averaged 9.0 points and 2.6 assists per game in 43 total games, while shooting 44.9 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from the 3-point line.
Quade is a former five-star recruit and likely will have plenty of suitors before he makes his decision. We wish him the best no matter where he goes.
