TOP HEADLINES
VANDY GOES 0-FOR
Vanderbilt’s had a tough week. First, the Commodores lost to in-state foe Middle Tennessee State, and then they lost their opener against Georgia. They’re now 17-13 on the season and 5-5 in conference play, which puts them fourth in the SEC East right now. They risk going further down the chute against the Dawgs, who are trying to take command of the East from Florida at the moment, if they lose this series.
LSU BEGINS TO ROLL
The LSU Tigers are on their horse right now. They picked up two wins in midweek action, defeating Nicholls 10-1 and then won 4-1 over Texas A&M. They drove the Aggies down to a 3-7 record in league play, while putting theirs up at 6-4. They are just one back in the loss column from SEC West-leading Ole Miss right now, and could very well make a move by the time the weekend’s over if their success continues.
