Road games can be tough, especially in conference play. However, this has never seemed to faze Alabama. The Tide have lost just four SEC road games since Texas A&M joined the SEC in 2012. Three losses came to Auburn, and one came to Ole Miss. That’s it. Alabama simply does not fall into the traps that other teams tend to.
Can that trend continue in College Station on Saturday night? Probably. Bryce Young remains on a great start to the season, throwing 17 touchdowns to just two interceptions so far this season. Young has proven to be a quarterback who will limit mistakes and more often than not make the smart play in any situation.
After starting the year 3-0, A&M dropped back to back conference games to open SEC play and are in grave danger of falling to 0-3. Jimbo Fisher likely has nothing to worry about for a variety of reasons, but at some point it feels alarming that he hasn’t been a better coach than Kevin Sumlin. For A&M to win, Zach Calzada will have to put together the game of his life, limit mistakes, and probably get a bit lucky too.
