For the 11th time in the Nick Saban era, the Alabama Crimson Tide are 4-0 to open the season.
Alabama took care of business Saturday against the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles, picking up a 49-7 victory.
Tua Tagovailoa looked great, yet again, completing 17 of 21 passes for 293 yards and five touchdowns. Bama’s two-headed receiving monster of Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs made their presence felt, as well, each hauling in a pair of touchdowns and combining for 244 of Tua’s 293 yards.
Unsurprisingly, the game was never close. Alabama scored the first 28 points of the game before allowing a touchdown near the end of the first half.
There isn’t much more to discuss from this game. The Crimson Tide did what they had to do, avoided injury, and closed out their nonconference schedule (until SEC/SoCon week) with a bang.
