2019 NFL Draft: Washington Redskins select Montez Sweat

For the first time since 1982, two Mississippi State Bulldogs have been selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.

After Jeffery Simmons was taken by the Tennessee Titans, the Washington Redskins traded for the Indianapolis Colts’ first round pick and grabbed Montez Sweat.

Sweat recorded 22.5 sacks in his two seasons at Mississippi State and joins a very good Washington defense.
