Report: Billy Kennedy will not return to Texas A&M next season

Kennedy has been at A&M for eight seasons.

After eight seasons at Texas A&M, head coach Billy Kennedy will not be returning for the 2019-20 season, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Kennedy is 150-115 in his eight years at Texas A&M, and has gotten the program to two Sweet Sixteens in the eight seasons. Kennedy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2011, and has valiantly fought the disease since, becoming an advocate in the time.

The Chronicle reports that A&M’s top target is Texas native and former A&M assistant, Buzz Williams. Williams currently is the head coach of Virginia Tech, and it seems like it would be worth A&M’s time to start their search with him.
