Danielle Gibson of the Arkansas Razorbacks is your SEC Player of the Week. Gibson took Week 3 by storm with an historic performance at the plate. She clubbed four home runs on Saturday night against SIU Edwardsville. Not only did this tie an NCAA single game record, she also made history in another way. The four homers she hit? One was a solo shot, another a two-run blast, another a three-run bomb and a grand slam, to boot. No player has ever done that in a single game before Gibson did so on Saturday night. Quite the showing, eh?

Meanwhile, once again Kelly Barnhill took the conference by a stranglehold and won SEC Pitcher of the Week. In 15.2 innings of action this week, she fanned 22 batters and allowed no runs whatsoever. She hasn’t allowed a run in her last 23.1 innings of work in the circle, showcasing exactly why she’s arguably the best pitcher in America.

Montana Fouts racked up SEC Freshman of the Week honors once more. The Alabama Crimson Tide right hander dominated the Easton Bama Bash with a CGSHO and picked up 15 total strikeouts in her two starts over the weekend.
