Spread: Alabama (-55.5)
The No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide are looking to get another dub in the column against the New Mexico State Aggies in Saturday’s home opener.
Tua Tagovailoa is seeking another performance of 300 yards or more, with four or more touchdowns, and he more than likely he will. Last week, Tua and Co. had a blowout win over the Duke Blue Devils, where he threw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns in the 42-3 win. This game may be an even better one for the ‘Bama QB, knowing that New Mexico State gave up 58 points to the Washington State Cougars. The Aggies allowed 330 passing yards and four touchdowns the first half alone!
The Crimson Tide defense should have a great game as well. They should be able to keep New Mexico State under 100 rushing yards (I mean, they are good at that) and force the quarterback to throw the ball more.
PREDICTION
Alabama 52, New Mexico State 3
I think Alabama will have their way in the first half and rely on their “instincts,” which Coach Nick Saban emphasized in a press conference, via the SEC Network, for Week 2.
