Former Kentucky pitcher James Paxton throws no-hitter for Seattle Mariners

And it only took him 99 pitches!

Former Kentucky Wildcat and three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll pitcher James Paxton etched his name in MLB history books on Tuesday night, as Paxton threw his first career no-hitter.

To make it even more special, Paxton’s no-hitter came in his native Canada against the Toronto Blue Jays.

It took the southpaw just 99 pitches to finish the job. He notched seven strikeouts along the way.

Paxton had sixteen strikeouts in his last start. This wasn’t a bad encore!
