Five-star forward EJ Montgomery commits to Kentucky

John Calipari is wasting no time hitting the recruiting trail. On Monday afternoon, 2018 five-star forward EJ Montgomery tweeted that he was committing to BBN.

Montgomery is #16 in ESPN’s Top 100 for 2018, Kentucky’s second-highest commit behind Keldon Johnson (#6).

Montgomery, from Marietta, Georgia, also considered Duke, Georgetown, and a number of other powerhouses before choosing UK.

As usual, Calipari is loading up with immensely talented freshmen. The Wildcats are going to be pretty scary yet again, and it’s just a matter of time before the roster gels and the ‘Cats find that next level as one of the nation’s best teams.
