The rivalry is back. What a season the Kentucky Wildcats are having. They are 7-2, in second place in the East, and are ranked in the Top 15. Benny Snell, Lynn Bowden, and Terry Wilson lead the offensive attack, but the story for the ‘Cats is the defense.

They have only given up 20 points or more twice in nine games and have a potential first round pick with linebacker Josh Allen. Earlier this year, the Wildcats ended a 30-year losing streak to the Florida Gators, and they have only beaten the Tennessee Volunteers three times in the past 34 years.

They looking to make it a fourth time today.

For the Vols, they are in transition. But they have arguably had a successful season already. They have beaten a ranked Auburn Tigers team on the road, and their four wins are more than many expected them to get.

Jeremy Pruitt is at the helm, and he is a dynamite recruiter. With the process he has going, Tennessee may be on the way back up soon. The Vols have trouble scoring, as evidenced by only putting up 14 vs, Charlotte last week.

That’s not a good recipe against this defense.

Prediction: Kentucky 24, Tennessee 14
