Tennessee vs. Auburn 2018: Time, TV channel, watch online

Auburn looks to get back on track against lowly Tennessee.

The Tennessee Volunteers and Auburn Tigers will meet for the first time since 2013 on Saturday. A lot has changed obviously since then, but nevertheless, both teams have something to prove.

Auburn is looking to turn the tide after a skittish few weeks. They now sit with two losses on the season after falling to the Mississippi St. Bulldogs last week. The Tigers offense has sputtered and Jarrett Stidham hasn’t looked so hot. The good news for Auburn is they’re playing a Vols team that has not produced much in the win column all season. So perhaps Saturday will be the day that the Tiger offense is looking sharper.

The last time we saw the Vols, though, they were giving the Georgia Bulldogs hell. UGA escaped with a win in Athens, but Tennessee played them very competitively. And credit to them and head coach Jeremy Pruitt for pushing Kirby Smart’s club. Tennessee hasn’t picked up an SEC win yet this season but we will see if Saturday will be the day. It likely won’t come at the hands of the Alabama Crimson Tide next week, so we’ll see if they can grab that elusive conference win.

The ground game will likely prove to be the biggest factor in this game. Tennessee has a solid one of their own, even if it’s not getting much attention. Tim Jordan and Ty Chandler are dynamic as is Madre London, and don’t sleep on Jeremy Banks, either. Auburn’s attack of JaTarvious Whitlow, Kam Martin and Shaun Shivers has been pretty stout, as well. Auburn has the obvious edge defensively, but we’ll see if Tennessee can hit the Auburn runners in the mouth on Saturday.
