The mystery is over in Baton Rouge.
LSU knows who their starting quarterback will be for their season opener against BYU. That man is Danny Etling. Head coach Ed Orgeron made the announcement on Tuesday night at a press conference.
Danny Etling is #LSU's starting QB, O says.

Etling competed with freshman signal caller Myles Brennan this offseason for the starting QB job. In the end, it’s the former Purdue transfer who gets the nod to be under center to start the season.
The move doesn’t come as much of a surprise. With Etling taking the reins last year, Brennan had a lot of ground to make up to get the nod. Putting a veteran under center is the proper move, and it’s the proper move here as well for the Fighting Tigers.
