The Alabama Crimson Tide and Florida State Seminoles will battle in less than two weeks time. It’s hard to believe that the college football season is so close, but the preparation has already begun for the highlight game of the opening weekend.
The tilt between FSU and ‘Bama is extremely deserving of all the hype it’s getting. Given that the ‘Noles and the Tide are ranked No. 3 and No. 1 to enter the year, it’s the highest rankings ever for two teams squaring off in the opening week. Not just this year. Ever.
There will be stars all over the field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, where these two teams are set to tangle. Derwin James and Deondre Francois for FSU; Jalen Hurts, Calvin Ridley, Minkah Fitzpatrick and all the dang RBs for Alabama. Both teams are National Title contenders, and it’s possible that whoever loses this game will face a major uphill battle for the rest of the year.
With all that being said, ESPN is already hyping up the big time matchup. The game, of course, will air on ABC on Saturday, September 2 at 8 p.m. ET. On Monday, they released this hype video on their Instagram page. Take a look. It’s pretty sweet, yeah?
One would imagine that this probably isn’t the first hype video for the matchup that will be aired. For now, here’s what we have, and it’s pretty darn good, no?
