Three-star CB Jonathan Gipson commits to South Carolina

The South Carolina Gamecocks gained another commit on Monday, as three-star cornerback Jonathan Gipson committed to the Gamecocks out of Hoschton, Georgia.

Gipson is the seventh recruit in the 2018 class to commit to the program in the month of July. He announced his decision via Twitter.

The 6’1”, 185 pound cornerback chose the Gamecocks over Cincinnati, Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee. He is the 413th best prospect in the nation, 40th best CB and 46th best player in the state of Georgia, according to 247Sports.

With a big season right around the corner, Will Muschamp is bringing in the recruit he will need to compete in the SEC.
