The South Carolina Gamecocks scored a three-star recruit on the Fourth of July. Jabari Ellis, a 6’2”, 280 pound defensive tackle from Georgia has committed to the Gamecocks to continue his football career.
Ellis graduated from Lake Marion High School in 2015 and elected to enroll at Georgia Military College, a JUCO program. He also had an offer from North Carolina State but chose the Gamecocks over the Wolfpack. He is ranked as the 14th-ranked JUCO player in the nation, according to 247Sports. He is also ranked as the fourth-best defensive tackle in the nation and best in the state of South Carolina.
Ellis will join Cantrell Barkley as the second defensive tackle from JUCO to commit to the Gamecocks 2018 class. According to 247sports, South Carolina has the 43rd-best recruiting class in the country for 2018.
