The State of Ohio continues to provide Mark Stoops with players of incredible talent, this time being the home to the newest Wildcat: Keaton Upshaw.

Upshaw, a 6’7” tight end from Lima Senior High School in Lima, Ohio, decided to commit to the University of Kentucky on Saturday afternoon. By making his decision to head to Lexington, Upshaw passed up offers from Louisville, Purdue, Cincinnati, West Virginia, et al.

However, most everyone seemed to see this pick coming, as Upshaw’s Crystal Ball on 247Sports stood at 91% Kentucky and 9% Cincinnati.

Upshaw’s commitment now brings Kentucky’s total amount of 2018 commits to 14, and 6 of those commits hail from the State of Ohio. Stoops’ class comes in at 20th nationally, all while holding a ranking of 4th among all SEC classes.

Below is a video from SB Nation’s Bud Elliott, a recruiting expert who watched and interviewed Upshaw sometime prior to today’s announcement.
