Dixon is the 13th commit for Butch Jones in his 2018 class, which is now ranked eighth in the country and second in the SEC behind LSU. He is the seventh player in the class rated four-stars or better, giving them six four-stars now between himself, Brant Lawless, D’Andre Litaker, Brendon Harris, Adrian Martinez and Alontae Taylor. Cade Mays remains as the lone five-star of the group.
He’s only the sixth commit however to be outside of the state of Tennessee and merely the second from the state of Georgia. Milledgeville’s Jatavious Harris, a three-star wide receiver, is the other Peach State native in the group while others from California and Florida make up the out-of-staters.
The 5-foot-10 1⁄2”, 178-pound running back is listed as an all-purpose back on 247 Sports. He hails from Butler, Georgia, where he attends Taylor County High School. He ranks 32nd among players in The Peach State, sixth among all-purpose backs and is the 307th overall recruit in the class of 2018.
Lyn-J had 18 offers from a multitude of Power Five schools, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU Michigan and Texas among others.
