FLORIDA 7, LSU 0
The Gators rolled through yet another opponent in the Women’s College World Series as they knocked off the LSU Tigers by a 7-0 margin.
Kelly Barnhill was her usual dominant self in the circle for the Gators, allowing just two hits and striking out eight over seven innings.
The Gators were led by two RBI each from Kayli Kvistad, Janell Wheaton, and Chelsea Herndon, with Kvistad and Wheaton each hitting a home run off Tigers pitcher Allie Walljasper.
Florida now has a day of rest after winning their first two games. They’ll face an unknown opponent on Sunday. LSU faces the winner of Saturday’s Texas A&M/UCLA matchup later Saturday evening.
