Kevin Knox commits to Kentucky over Missouri, UNC, Duke and FSU

The Wildcats land the coveted forward.

Blue-chip forward Kevin Knox has committed to the Kentucky Wildcats!

He had been heavily recruited by the Wildcats along with the Missouri Tigers, North Carolina Tar Heels, Duke Blue Devils and Florida State Seminoles. In the end, however, the Tampa Catholic forward has decided that Lexington is the place for him and John Calipari is the coach for him.

Knox becomes the sixth five-star player to join the Wildcats for their 2017 class. He joins Hamidou Diallo (who may wind up leaving for the NBA Draft thanks to a loophole), Jarred Vanderbilt, P.J. Washington, Nick Richards and Quade Green as five-star players currently on the Cats’ roster. Since the year 2000, Knox is the 41st (!) five-star player to commit to Kentucky per 247Sports.

SB Nation’s Ricky O’Donnell recently profiled Knox for the mothership.

Best of luck to Kevin Knox with Kentucky!
