The Arkansas Razorbacks added three-star Gabriel Osabuohien to their class of 2017 on Wednesday.
The news of Osabuohien’s commitment was first reported by Kevin McPherson, a longtime recruiting analyst based out of Little Rock.

Osabuohien is originally from Toronto and currently attends Southwest Christian Academy in Little Rock. He’s a three-star small forward per 247Sports’ recruiting services and is ranked as the fifth-best player in the state. Sure enough, four of the top five (sans Javon Franklin, who is uncommitted) are all Arkansas commits, so he’ll be around familiar company.
The Razorbacks’ recruiting class now boosts up to seventh in the SEC and 32nd nationally with Osabuohien in the fold. He joins three-star Darious Hall (Little Rock), three-star Khalil Garland (Little Rock) and four-star Daniel Gafford (El Dorado). This now gives the Hogs a full hoard of players as all 13 scholarships are being used up.
Osabuohien gives the Hogs some additional length going forward. He will be alongside Garland at his position as well as rising sophomore Brachen Hazen, who got limited burn a season ago as a freshman. With the frontcourt pretty established (Dustin Thomas, Trey Thompson, JUCO transfer Arlando Cook and Adrio Bailey), it will be interesting to see where he fits going forward.
Nevertheless, congrats to Gabriel Osabuohien on the commitment!
