2018 four-star dual threat quarterback Jalen Mayden (Sachise, TX) has committed to Mississippi State.

As shown in the video above, the Bulldogs beat out Tennessee, Nebraska, Baylor, and Louisville for Mayden.

Mayden’s 2016 season highlights can be found below.

Mayden becomes Mississippi State’s ninth 2018 commit, and joins WR Malik Heath as the second four-star in the class. His commitment moves the Bulldogs up to the 24th-best class in the nation and fourth best in the SEC.

Per 247Sports, Mayden is the nation’s 12th best dual threat quarterback, and the 34th best player in the state of Texas. Mayden is Mississippi State’s highest-ranked Texas commit since Fred Ross in 2013.

Mayden describes his biggest strengths as “accuracy and precision with the ball.” He mentions the “great family atmosphere, what the coaches are bringing to the table, and what Dan Mullen does with quarterbacks” as his reasons for committing to the Bulldogs.
