2019 four-star Deyavie Hammond (Lakeland, FL) has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Hammond, an offensive guard, announced his commitment on his personal Twitter page Tuesday afternoon.

Hammond commits to Alabama just six days after receiving an offer from them. He had standing offers from the likes of the Auburn Tigers, Mississippi State Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, South Florida Bulls and Oregon Ducks to name a few, but ‘Bama, evidently, was the choice for him. He ranks as the 5th best player at his position in 2019, the 16th-best player in Florida and is 106th overall.

The addition of Hammond gives Nick Saban three players in his class of 2019. Hammond joins five-star running back Trey Sanders of IMG Academy and Pierce Quick, a four-star offensive tackle from Trussville, Alabama. Right now, that’s good enough for fifth in the SEC and sixth nationally. Of course, there’s still plenty of time to go, so we’d suspect those rankings are going to change in an upward trajectory.
