Four-star 2018 recruit Jontay Porter has committed to Mizzou.
Porter, the brother of Michael Porter. Jr., the second-best player in the 2017 class, announced his decision on his personal Twitter account Monday night.
After much thought and prayer I have decided to commit to the University of Missouri! pic.twitter.com/dO1LKYR3iX

Traction had been building towards Jontay joining the Tigers following his brother’s commitment. All 13 of the predictions made on his Crystal Ball on 247Sports were for Mizzou, so this isn’t a surprising move but more of an expected one.
There is also plenty of traction towards Porter possibly reclassifying to join the Tigers this fall as opposed to 2018. No decision, to this point, has been announced yet.
Porter ranks in the Top 30 nationally at 27th, 11th at his position and first in his prior home state of Washington per 247Sports Composite.
