SEC Baseball Recap, Preview (4/8/17): Game times, TV schedule, live stream

Baseball’s already going down on this Saturday afternoon.

We’ve got baseball already under way today, so let’s quickly get you up to speed.

There were upsets aplenty on Friday. Tennessee knocked off 7th-ranked Florida 7-6, Vanderbilt took down 9th-ranked South Carolina 5-3 and 15th-ranked Arkansas beat 13th-ranked LSU 9-3. The only higher ranked teams to survive the night were 10th-ranked Kentucky and 11th-ranked Auburn who skated by Mississippi State and Texas A&M 5-2 and 2-1 respectively. Ole Miss and Mizzou were winners against Alabama and Georgia, earning 7-2 and 8-5 wins respectively.

The scene around the SEC hasn’t changed too much after Friday’s action. Kentucky is still on top in the SEC East, holding an 8-2 record in conference with at three game lead over South Carolina and Vanderbilt in the loss column. Florida meanwhile is 5-5 in conference play with their loss to Tennessee knocking them down a peg.

Arkansas and Auburn on the other hand are tied up at the top of the SEC West, both holding 8-2 records at the moment. The Hogs and Tigers hold a two-game lead over Mississippi State, who’s posted a 6-4 mark in conference play with LSU holding close with a 5-5 record.

Let’s see what Saturday brings us, shall we?
