NFL Draft 2017: Caleb Brantley drafted by Cleveland Browns

Brantley heads to Cleveland.

NFL: Combine Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns selected Florida Gators defensive tackle Caleb Brantley with the first pick of the sixth round in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Brantley is the seventh Gator to be taken in this year’s draft as he joins Alex Anzalone, Jarrad Davis, Marcus Maye, David Sharpe, Teez Tabor and Quincy Wilson as Gators to head to the pros.

Brantley is currently facing a misdemeanor assault charge for an incident that allegedly occurred earlier in the month of April, which may help explain why he fell to the sixth round.
