The Georgia Bulldogs racked up their first 2017 NFL Draft pick on Saturday afternoon as wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie was selected in the fifth round by the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos had traded up to take the Green Bay Packers’ spot to grab McKenzie, who could provide depth for the Broncos receiving corp.
After having two first rounders in the last two seasons, this is the latest that UGA has had someone get taken since Arthur Lynch and Aaron Murray were the first and last picks from the ‘Dawgs in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. UGA avoids their first NFL Draft since 1992 with no ‘Dawgs taken.
Congrats to Isaiah McKenzie and best of luck to him with Denver!
