2017 NFL Draft: Marcus Maye drafted by the New York Jets

Maye is just the latest DB from UF to go to the NFL.

The Florida Gators have sent their fair share of DBs to the NFL, and another one is on his way.

Marcus Maye was just taken with the 39th pick in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft!

Maye is the second Gator to be selected in this year’s draft, joining linebacker Jarrad Davis who was selected 21st overall by the Detroit Lions on Thursday. He is just the latest defensive back who patrolled The Swamp to head to the league, joining a long laundry list of others who’re currently making headway in the NFL.

The likes of Vernon Hargreaves, Keanu Neal, Jaylen Watkins, Matt Elam, and Joe Haden among others have come before Maye and he’ll hope to have the same success if not more than those players.

Congrats to Marcus Maye and best of luck to him in the league!
