DB U has added another as Jamal Adams is bound for the New York Jets!

Adams, the vaunted LSU Tigers safety, becomes the latest Tiger to head to the pros. He’s the second 1st rounder for LSU this draft as Leonard Fournette was picked 4th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars and third since the great Odell Beckham Jr. in 2014 and joins Beckham, Barkevious Mingo, Eric Reid, Morris Claiborne, Michael Brockers and Patrick Peterson as Bayou Bengals first rounders since 2011.

Adams is also the latest defensive back from LSU to be drafted. Since 2011, 11 players that patrolled the secondary in Baton Rouge were drafted. This laundry list includes Peterson, Reid, Claiborne, Tyrann Mathieu and Jalen Collins among many more.

Congrats to Jamal Adams and best of luck in the NFL!
