Tuesday’s light slate brings on another on Wednesday.

Leading Off...

Arkansas stole the show on Tuesday as they completed a sweep of UMKC. The Razorbacks outscored the Kangaroos 23-1 in the process, picking up a 10-0 shutout in the first leg of the doubleheader. The Hogs were able to put the second game out of reach merely after four innings as they entered the top of the fifth inning with a 13-0 lead. Although UMKC was able to score a run, that was all they could muster, and Arkansas was able to run-rule their adversary.

Oh, and yes, they were able to do that the first time too after plating five runs in both the first and second innings.

Elsewhere, No. 9 Alabama got the best of Loyola Chicago, winning 5-0. Alexis Osorio was dominant again, as she struck out 18 (!!) batters in her complete game, one-hit shutout. Her ERA is 0.86 right now - that, my friends, is pretty darn good.

Finally, Mississippi State was able to hold off Troy, winning 2-1. The Trojans plated a run across in the sixth inning to cut what was a 2-0 Bulldogs lead in half. Much to their dismay, despite having the tying and winning runs aboard, Troy was eventually shut down and sent packing.
