In the words of Jon Rothstein, “The epitome of brutality” was Texas A&M coughing up a 10-5 lead in the ninth and then losing in the 15th inning to the TCU Horned Frogs. Sheesh.

It wasn’t all bad though. Kentucky picked up yet another win over the UCSB Gauchos, defeating the 23rd-ranked team in the country 3-2. Arkansas hammered Nebraska, No. 2 Florida pounced on Columbia and Mississippi State edged out Oregon.
