Midweek action keeps rolling.

MLB: Detroit Tigers at Pittsburgh Pirates Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

So after a day off on Thursday, Friday’s action is packed with quite a few top-tier matchups.

None will be bigger than the showdown between No. 1 TCU and No. 3 LSU. Both programs are among the elite in the country, and this one-game showdown between the Tigers and Horned Frogs should provide for some fireworks.

Two other ranked encounters will be going down on Friday, too. The Texas Tech Red Raiders and Texas A&M Aggies reignite a Lone Star rivalry at 4:30 p.m., and out in South Carolina, the Gamecocks face off with the Clemson Tigers.

6th-ranked Vanderbilt and 24th-ranked Ole Miss are both in action, taking on Cal State Northridge and Baylor. 2nd-ranked Florida will be involved in a tilt as well as they face off with Ivy Leaguer Columbia. Elsewhere, Kentucky and Arkansas look to play spoiler as each face a ranked team (UCSB for the Wildcats, Arizona for the Hogs).

Rounding out the slate on Friday are Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mizzou and Mississippi State. This group will battle fellow unranked teams, with Mississippi State being the only one to face a fellow power conference team (Oregon).
