SEC Baseball Schedule (3/15/17): Game times, TV channel, online live stream

A busy day on Tuesday gives way to another today.

USA TODAY Sports

In Tuesday’s slate, the biggest result was No. 5 Florida besting their in-state rivals 1-0 as the Gators were able to fend off the Seminoles in Gainesville. UF scored their only run in the game in the seventh inning thanks to Mark Kolozsvary who scored Jonathan India on an RBI single. The Gators used four pitchers to produce a shutout, getting the better of FSU’s staff from bell-to-bell.

Meanwhile, Texas A&M wasn’t able to get the better of in-state rival Texas. Instead, the Longhorns scratched out a 4-3 win over the Aggies to drop A&m to 14-4. Texas fell behind 4-1 after five innings and while they manufactured two late runs in the eighth, the Aggie offense simply couldn’t get it done in the top of the ninth despite having the tying run 90 feet away on their last AB.

All the other ranked teams though were able to scoop up wins. Vandy defeated WKU 8-1, LSU bested Louisiana College 13-0 and Ole Miss took down Nicholls 5-0. The only other SEC team to join the Aggies in the loss column was Georgia, who fell short against Mercer to the tune of 4-3. Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama and Mississippi State on the other hand were all winners on Tuesday.

The highlight for Wednesday’s slate? Let’s see if Mizzou can keep it going.
