Softball is back in full swing!
While much of the Southeastern Conference opens play on Friday, the Auburn Tigers will be taking center stage on Thursday afternoon. Kasey Cooper and Co. are back to try and get to Oklahoma City again, where they fell to the Oklahoma Sooners in last year’s Women’s College World Series.
Intriguingly, that’s who Auburn will be opening up against. The Sooners and Tigers will be battling in the 2017 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge, an event featuring some of the top programs in the country. The second edition of this event will be taking place next week and will feature Mississippi State, but Auburn will get first dibs.
Auburn will be playing two on Thursday as Oklahoma isn’t their only opponent as the Tigers will be facing the Washington Huskies later in the day.
