As was the case last week, three SEC basketball teams have made an appearance in each of the nation’s college basketball polls this week.
After a narrow win against Georgia and a loss to Florida, the Kentucky Wildcats fell to #15 in the AP Poll, down seven spots from last week. The Wildcats dipped six slots in the Coaches’ Poll to #12.
The Florida Gators made the most of their week, going 2-0 against Kentucky and Missouri and hopping up seven spots in the AP Poll, from 24 to 17. The Gators took a six spot leap in the Coaches’ Poll, 23 to 17.
Rounding out the SEC’s presence is the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Gamecocks’ wins over LSU and Georgia weren’t enough for movement in the AP Poll, as they stayed at 19, but they took a nice four-spot leap in the Coaches’ Poll to #16.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, no other SEC team received votes in either poll.
