Mullen is set to earn $4.5 million while the remaining terms in the contract were not yet disclosed.
When Mullen arrived in 2009, the Bulldogs’ longest bowl streak was three in a row from 1998-2000. After going 5-7 in his first year, Mullen has been able to bring his teams to bowl games in each of the last seven seasons. This includes a trip to the Orange Bowl in 2014 when the Bulldogs were the AP No. 1 team in the country, a mark that had never been accomplished in the program’s history. While in Starkville, Mullen’s teams have gotten seven or more wins six times, all occurring consecutively from 2010-2015.
