February 25 SEC softball schedule, game times, TV coverage, live stream

Yet another busy day awaits us!

Leading Off...

My what a day it was on Friday.

With plenty of opportunities for the ranked teams of the SEC to make impacts, almost all of them did just that. Kentucky, Texas A&M, Florida, Mizzou, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia were all able to fetch at least one victory. The Aggies and Tigers (of the Missouri variety) scored wins over fellow ranked teams as ASU and Washington fell victim to those two aforementioned teams.

Mizzou perhaps had the most dramatic of wins. After falling behind 5-0 in the first inning, the Tigers scored nine unanswered runs to take the game over the seventh-ranked Huskies. The Aggies had drama in their game as well, winning on a walk-off double knocked by Samantha Show.

Auburn played pretty drama-free baseball, outscoring their opponents 21-0 in their two wins over UMass Lowell and North Dakota. Alabama had similar ease, winning 4-0 over UCF and then picked up a 7-2 victory over Texas Tech.

Ole Miss turned some heads with a 14-2 win over Colgate followed by an 8-0 upset win over 23rd-ranked USF.

Other notables included Kentucky sweeping a doubleheader over UConn and Florida A&M, Florida maintaining their winning ways over Syracuse and Fordham and 13th-ranked Tennessee splitting a doubleheader against Nebraska and Utah.
