The two lone SEC baseball games on Thursday provided two close results.
While Missouri squeaked out a 7-6 victory against Texas A&M Corpus Christi, South Carolina had no such luck.
The Gamecocks fell to Kansas State 6-5 , with much of the damage being dealt in the first inning. The Wildcats saw four runs come across in the first frame, batting around from bell-to-bell in the inning. South Carolina simply couldn’t muster up the difference as they were shut down in the final four innings of the game.
Mizzou was able to put up a four-spot of their own in the second inning of their game against Texas A&M CC, and to their credit, their adversary put up one as well. The Tigers though picked up three more runs in the contest, including two in the eighth, and eked out of trouble despite allowing a run in the ninth. Two home runs from Glendinning and Samples did a brunt of the damage for ol’ Mizzou on Thursday, and they’ll hope for more luck on Friday.
