February 2 SEC Basketball Schedule: TV, Tip Times, How to Watch, Streaming, Odds and Picks

One game tonight before we start the back nine.

NCAA Basketball: Alabama at Arkansas Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

What Happened Last Night

Nothing particularly interesting, just a couple of blowouts. Arkansas handled Alabama pretty easily in an 87-68 win; five Razorbacks scored in double figures led by Dusty Hannahs with 19.

And then in the late game, South Carolina went into Baton Rouge and jumped out to an 18-3 lead. LSU never really threatened after that, as the Gamecocks’ lead never fell back into single digits and South Carolina won 88-63 to improve to 8-1 in the SEC. P.J. Dozier and Duane Notice scored 17 points each. As for LSU, well, they’re 1-8 in the SEC, 9-12 overall, and they’ve lost 10 of their last 11. At this point it seems like it’s only a matter of time before the school cuts bait on Johnny Jones.

Tonight’s Game

Speaking of cutting bait on a coach, Missouri goes to Florida tonight looking to pick up their first SEC win and snap a 12-game losing streak — and a 30-game road losing streak that dates all the way back to 2014! That’s probably not going to happen. If you insist on watching the carnage, tipoff is at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN2 and the WatchESPN app.

Odds and Picks

Yesterday: 2-0 ATS; Season to Date: 86-99-1 ATS

Missouri (+21) at Florida: No, Missouri is not very good, and no, I don’t think Missouri is going to win this game. On the other hand, 21 points is a lot, and the difference between Missouri and LSU right now is that Missouri is still playing hard. I expect the Tigers to lose by about 15 points — never being much of a threat to win, but picking up the cover.
