What do we have in store for Day No. 2?

MLB: New York Mets-Workouts Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Among the highlights from the first full day of baseball for the SEC was Ole Miss’ opening day upset of ECU. The Rebels won 5-4 in front of a record crowd at Swayze Field in Oxford, getting their season off to just the best of starts in a fashion that should excite Rebel baseball fans.

Apart from that, everything went to script for the most part. Ranked teams (South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Florida and Texas A&M won) and big performances were spun (a 9-0 shutout for Auburn against George Washington as well as a 7-0 shutout for Arkansas). Missouri took a tough loss despite Tanner Houck’s presence (he, in particular, had a bad day at the office) but all went according to plan.

Well, besides LSU’s game being moved to Sunday.
