On Monday afternoon, the quarterback published a message on Twitter announcing that “the best decision for me and my future is to transfer away from LSU.”

Harris first appeared for the Tigers during his freshman season in 2014, but he officially broke onto the scene during his sophomore year. He took over as the starting signal caller for LSU and finished the year throwing for 2,165 yards, 13 touchdowns and only six interceptions.
Entering last season, the former four-star recruit had Tiger fans dreaming of an SEC West title. However, those dreams never became reality after he was benched in favor of now presumed starting 2017 quarterback, Danny Etling.
Harris can start fresh elsewhere, since he is likely to graduate before the 2017 season. With that plus a full release, Harris can transfer to any FBS team and be immediately eligible.
