The SEC’s Week 5 basketball awards will go to Baton Rouge and Fayetteville this week.

Duop Reath of the LSU Tigers is the conference’s Player of the Week. In LSU’s return to the court against the NC-Wilmington Seahawks, Reath scored 30 points off the bench on a 13-17 day from the field. Reath was 12-15 on 2-point tries and had five rebounds, an assist, block, steal and just one turnover in 27 minutes of action.

Meanwhile, Arkansas Razorbacks big man Daniel Gafford is the Freshman of the Week. Gafford was terrific in the Hogs’ victories over the Colorado State Rams and Minnesota Golden Gophers. He averaged 15.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in the two games, while shooting 13-17 from the field. That includes an 8-8 day on the floor against the Golden Gophers on Saturday.
