The Arkansas Razorbacks very nearly had a disaster on their hands Saturday in Fayetteville, but avoided it with a one-point victory over Coastal Carolina, 39-38.
The Razorbacks were trailing as late as two minutes to go, but Cole Kelley saved the day with a one-yard touchdown with 1:55 to go and the defense was able to hold on.
It was a wild one for an Arkansas team that could have very well been the latest SEC team to go in a different coaching direction had they taken a loss today, but a win is a win at the end of the day.
To his credit, Kelley had a fairly successful day, going 16-25 for 264 yards and a passing touchdown to go along with his go-ahead rushing score. TJ Hammonds also had a great afternoon with a 60 yard receiving touchdown and an 88 yard rushing touchdown.
The Razorbacks improve to 4-5 and head to LSU next week.
