Week 10’s Games Picked by the TSK Staff

As the calendar flips to the last month of the season, SEC teams will be looking to solidify the outcome of their season. As Houston Nutt was fond of saying, “They remember November.” (Ironically, as an Ole Miss fan, that statement holds true as during his first two seasons in Oxford, the team went a combined 7-1 in November while the last two seasons were 1-7).

With a few exceptions, there is not much debate amongst the Team Speed Kills staff on who they are picking to win the games in week ten. With Alabama’s suffocation of the rest of the SEC, no one is taking LSU to win in Tuscaloosa nor is anyone picking Texas A&M to win their home game against Auburn.

Only a single picker (and not myself) is taking Ole Miss on the road at Kentucky and, likewise, Western Kentucky got only one pick to top Vanderbilt.

The game that has the most consternation is in Columbia, Mo., as Florida travels to fellow East foe Missouri. With interim head coach Randy Shannon taking the place of the departing Jim McElwain, a small majority of contributors are taking the Gators. Given Missouri’s struggles earlier in SEC play, it seems our staff does not think much of Florida’s psyche coming off their blowout loss to Georgia.
