The Georgia Bulldogs are arguably the best team in college football right now. That success on the field is translating into the recruiting world, too, as on Monday the ‘Dawgs picked up another huge commitment in 2019 cornerback Jalen Perry.

Perry, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound defensive back from Dacula High School in Dacula, Ga., had a nice list of offers and chose the Bulldogs over schools like Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma among others.
According to 247Sports, Perry is the 14th-ranked cornerback in the class of 2019 and his addition to the class moves UGA to No. 2 overall in the team composite rankings behind only Florida at the moment.
What are the ‘Dawgs getting in Perry?
Perry possesses great size and length. He has good cover skills and a feel for the position. He doesn’t have top-end speed, but he is overall a good athlete. He’s specifically the type of defensive back Kirby Smart loves. You can’t teach size or instincts and Perry has both of those qualities.
Georgia’s class of 2018 has been the talk for awhile, but the 2019 class is shaping up to be a terrific one, too. Could Smart be the one to challenge Nick Saban and Urban Meyer on the recruiting trail?
The early returns certainly look promising.
