Team Speed Kills’ College Football Playoff Rankings: Inaugural Edition

The first CFP Rankings come out tonight. Who would the TSK writers have as their Top 6? Here’s your answer.

The first College Football Playoff rankings go out tonight. History has reminded us that the first CFP rankings likely won’t play out too far for the final ones, but there’s certainly a lot of discussion going on.

WHat’s for certain is that the SEC will be a big player. There’s a very strong chance, almost 100 percent that two of the conference’s heavyweights will be in the Top 4. That being the Alabama Crimson Tide as well as the Georgia Bulldogs. The ‘Dawgs could wind up being the No. 1 team in the land, considering that ‘Bama likely will not have played anybody in the looming Top 25. UGA, meanwhile, will have played (and beaten) a team that could be in the Top 6 (Notre Dame). Plus, Mississippi State figure to be in the rankings, too.

While we wait, our staff got together and made our choices for what we think our Top 6’s would be. Who’s in? Who’s out? Who’s left on the outside? Here’s what we have so far:
