Arkansas vs. Ole Miss 2017: Kickoff time, TV schedule, watch online, odds, preview

Both of these teams really need a win.

NCAA Football: South Alabama at Mississippi Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

When: Noon ET/11 a.m. CT, Saturday, October 28, 2017

Where: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Oxford, MS

TV coverage: SEC Network

Online stream: WatchESPN

Odds (via oddsshark.com): Ole Miss -3; over/under 64

Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson is done for the year, and Jordan Ta’amu will be making his first career start in Patterson’s place. Ta’amu played well in garbage time against LSU last week, but this will be his first true test. Having SEC-leading wide receiver AJ Brown should definitely be an asset for Ta’amu though.

On the Arkansas side, it remains to be seen if Austin Allen will play. Allen has missed two games with a shoulder injury, and freshman quarterback Cole Kelley has had a hard time getting it going. Even if Allen does play, there’s no telling how effective he’ll be.

One thing that could work to Arkansas’ benefit is their rushing game. The Hogs feature a three-headed monster in the backfield, with David Williams, Chase Hayden, and Devwah Whaley combining for 947 yards and 12 touchdowns on the year. Ole Miss allows 260 rushing yards per game, which is the worst in the SEC.

If the Razorbacks lose, they’ll fall to 2-6 and need to win out to be bowl eligible, and Bielema Watch will intensify.
